Colour Palette

Although the genre of our film is primarily Thriller, social realism is also strongly present through the use of natural lighting, realistic characters and the overall narrative which could be compared to that of a social drama to an extent. We therefore decided that cool, blue hues would best fit our film in order to heighten the thriller atmosphere whilst maintaining the aspect of social realism. Such icy tones reflect the nature of the relationship between the protagonist and antagonist. We admired 'Twilight's' colour palette in particular, as we felt that the consistent blue tone is effective in emphasizing the sense of realism in the film, despite the fact that it is clearly fiction.
